Welcome to the 2020 FCS Jersey Countdown.
Throughout the May-August months, HERO Sports is going to name the best returning FCS player by jersey number, 99-1. Due to rosters being updated at different times for teams across the country and to keep things consistent, jersey numbers are based on the 2019 season.
The full 99-1 countdown/schedule can be found here.
*Note: Jersey numbers are based on 2019 rosters.
73: Tim Coleman, OL (Sr.) — Richmond
Coleman has been a standout offensive lineman in the FCS since stepping foot on a college campus. That campus, at first, was Furman, where Coleman started all 11 games in 2016. At age 18, he made his collegiate debut against Michigan State.
Coleman went on to earn HERO Sports Freshman All-American honors. With a coaching change taking place after the 2016 season, he decided to transfer.
The Georgia native signed with Richmond. After redshirting in 2017, Coleman has started 23 straight games at left tackle. The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder earned All-CAA Second Team honors last year.
Coleman is a former three-star recruit and had multiple FBS offers. He’s a talented big man with a wrestling background. Expect his play to earn more All-Conference honors this season.
