61: CJ Toogood, senior offensive lineman — Elon
Folks, this guy is almost too good of an offensive lineman. All terrible jokes aside, Toogood has been Mr. Reliable for the Phoenix. He has appeared in 32 games since his freshman season in 2015 and has started all of them. In 2016, Toogood was named the team's Most Outstanding Offensive player and last year, the left guard earned Second Team All-CAA honors.
At 6-foot-2, 293 pounds, Toogood is one of many returning starters for Elon, a team that surprised some in 2017. The Phoenix started 8-1 with the lone loss coming against FBS Toledo. They went on to host their first FCS playoff game in program history and lost a tough one 28-27 to Furman.
With the amount of experience coming back, expectations are high for Elon. Toogood is going to play an important role in the Phoenix building off of last year's success.
