77: Kyle Anderton, senior offensive lineman — Austin Peay
The Governors were one of the top stories in the FCS last year, not only snapping a 29-game losing streak but finishing 8-4 and just short of a playoff bid. Inside that magical season was another great story. Anderton's path to a starting offensive lineman was an unorthodox one to say the least.
He started his college career in the SEC at Vanderbilt. Anderton played in 11 games as a true freshman in 2015, but as a fullback/tight end and had one catch that went for a 4-yard touchdown. He was set back with injuries in 2016 and struggled to find the field.
Anderton transferred to Austin Peay last season and made the move to offensive line. He started 11 games at tackle, weighing 302 pounds at 6-foot-3. The former fullback was honored with his play by being named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Second Team and the All-Newcomer Team.
Anderton joined the HERO Sports FCS Podcast in October, which can be heard here.
