91: Jae’Wuan Horton, senior defensive end – New Hampshire

Horton is entering his fourth season as a starter for a Wildcats defense that is always rock solid. In last year's playoffs, which UNH advanced to the quarterfinals, the defense shut out Central Connecticut State 14-0, then upset fourth-seeded Central Arkansas 21-15. The Bears were ninth in the FCS with 35.8 points per game. Horton combined for 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks in the playoff wins.

At 6-foot-2, 232 pounds, Horton totaled 55 tackles in 2017. He tied for the team lead with 13 tackles for loss and was second with 8.5 sacks. Horton has been that consistent factor for the Wildcats, starting the last 37 games.

"Jae'Wuan's been durable," assistant coach Chris Ellis said in a UNH Insider article. "He played a lot of snaps last year and I think that benefited him and his development. This is a guy who's truly determined to make all conference this year and kind of show what he really can do."

"He can play the run as well," Ellis added. "But he really showed up as a pass rusher last year, getting us out of some big games. Central Arkansas he had a turnover at the end of the game to seal the win for us. He's a bigger guy with a lot of experience. He can help us down inside as well and that leaves us real multiple when we want to get after the pass rush and get off the field on third down."
