The Bison have knocked off the last six FBS opponents it has faced since 2010, and although fans will have to wait until an Oregon trip in 2020 to face its first Power 5 squad since a 23-21 upset over Iowa two years ago, the North Dakota State football 2019 schedule is packed full of surprises and intriguing out-of-conference showdowns.

The opener is the Bison's first-ever matchup with Butler, the first FCS contest held at Target Field, and only the second college football game hosted inside the Twins' ballpark.
NDSU returns to face in-state rival North Dakota before an interesting pair of games to close out the non-conference slate. The team travels some 1,400 miles to take on 2018 playoff contenders Delaware on September 14 before returning home to face UC Davis on September 21.
After a much-needed bye week, North Dakota State begins a challenging Missouri Valley Conference run at Illinois State on October 5.
