FCS Players on Super Bowl Rosters

Several players from FCS schools are going to get their chance at a Super Bowl ring Feb. 4 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Philadelphia and New England have five total players currently on their active rosters with a handful more on the injured reserve or practice squad.

Former North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz is the obvious standout despite being on the sideline with an ACL injury after having an MVP candidate season. He’ll still attract plenty of attention during the broadcast. But the former FCS players on the field are going to be making a big impact on the outcome of the game.

Monmouth’s Chris Hogan is a weapon in Tom Brady’s arsenal of wide receivers with 34 catches for 439 yards and five touchdowns while Brown’s James Develin leads the way at fullback in the run game.

Philadelphia’s special teams relies on the FCS as linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill and safety Corey Graham are first and second on the team in special teams tackles. Old Dominion’s Rick Lovato serves as the team’s long snapper. Graham was a member of Baltimore’s Super Bowl XLVII-winning team in the 2012 season and brings that valuable experience to the Eagles, a franchise that is 0-2 in the big game.

Below is a list of all the former FCS players on the roster.
