NFL Stars Who Were 2-Star Recruits or Worse

San Diego clinched yet another Pioneer Football League title and the auto-bid into the FCS playoffs, but it didn’t come easy today.

Davidson gave the Toreros a heckuva game that turned into something that resembled a video game. The final score was 56-52 with USD erasing a 31-7 second-quarter deficit. The stats, as expected, are ridiculous.

  • Davidson had four players rush for at least 150 yards: Wesley Dugger (231), William Wicks (197), Tyler Phelps (153) and Keylan Brown (150).
  • Davidson totaled 789 yards rushing on 73 attempts.
  • USD QB Anthony Lawrence threw for 556 yards and seven touchdowns.
  • USD WR Michael Bandy caught 10 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns.
  • Davidson had a 789-75 advantage in rushing yards.
  • USD had a 556-63 advantage in passing yards.
  • Total offensive yards in the game totaled 1,483 (Davidson 852, USD 631).

USD improved to 8-2 overall and 7-0 in the PFL. Davidson is now 5-5 and 2-5 in conference play.
