Known as the NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship back in 1978, Florida A&M claimed the sport's first title when it knocked off Massachusetts by the mark of 35-28 in front of 13,604 fans in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Fast-forward to 2018, and the division now known as the FCS enjoyed nearly 20,000 spectators inside Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas as North Dakota State claimed its record-setting seventh crown to lay claim to the most championships in FCS history.
