As we saw during Sunday's Wild Card game between the Saints and Panthers, there's nothing quite as critical in the NFL than a reliable kicker. That's partially what makes NFL free agent kickers so coveted during the offseason.

One of the game's most consistent kickers this year, Graham Gano, had made an astounding 29 of 30 field goal attempts during the regular season. But his first quarter miss from chip-shot range came into play on the Panther's final drive as they found themselves down five instead of just two (although to be fair, Gano drilled a clutch 58-yarder just before halftime).

Ironically, Gano will find himself on the open market as one of 2018's most coveted NFL free agent kickers.
He'll be in good company. We're talking about potential Hall of Fame placekickers like Adam Vinatieri, Matt Bryant, and possibly even Sebastian Janikowski depending on if he can get back onto the field this year.
What's most astounding about this list is that arguably the two best kickers, Vinatieri and Bryant, are also the oldest in the league by a wide margin.
