The Group of Five Should Have Flex-Scheduling Week to Boost Playoff Chances

The Group of Five Should Have Flex-Scheduling Week to Boost Playoff Chances

The entire Group of Five should follow Conference USA's lead with their men's basketball scheduling and create a flex-scheduling week at the end of the college football season.

Group of Five schools have routinely voiced their displeasure with a College Football Playoff system that, in their opinion, does not allow for a non-Power Five school to be included. Their own playoff has been discussed but, let's be honest, most people wouldn't care about a Group of Five Championship.

Instead, use Conference USA's radical flex-scheduling strategy to boost the strength of schedule and top-tier wins for potential playoff teams. Wai Sallas and I discussed the idea on this week's episode of The Hot Route.
