Heisman Trophy Odds Still Favor Tua Tagovailoa as Season Enters October

Heisman Trophy Odds Still Favor Tua Tagovailoa as Season Enters October

Before the 2018 season began, Stanford star running back Bryce Love was near the top of everyone's Heisman hopefuls list, which included the oddsmakers. Defenses have loaded up for Love this year, however, and the tailback's Heisman Trophy odds have plummeted as a result. The same isn't true for a certain quarterback in Tuscaloosa, however.

College Football Betting

As Love's Heisman stock has practically bottomed out, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa continues to put up video game numbers despite sharing time with Jalen Hurts. Tagovailoa has thrown for 1,161 yards at a 75 percent completion rate to go along with 14 TD strikes and zero interceptions.

To put this last number into perspective, the sophomore standout tossed two INTs last year on 77 attempts but has yet to do so in 2018 despite 11 more pass attempts through five games.
