Do you know which Heisman winner played in the NBA? Or the most recent top-10 finisher for your school? Or which quarterbacks have won a national championship in their first season after replacing a Heisman winner?

Interception-Throwing Winner
The last three Heisman-winning quarterbacks — Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson and Marcus Mariota — threw a combined 19 interceptions during their Heisman campaigns. The 1990 Heisman winner, Ty Detmer, threw 28. By himself. In one year.
Detmer won the award during an era when quarterbacks won it more often than other positions but it wasn't dominated by signal-callers. It is now dominated by signal-callers. Fifteen of the last 18 winners were quarterbacks, only one of whom threw more than 10 interceptions.

NBA Heisman Winner
University of Chicago running back Jay Berwanger was the first winner of the Heisman Trophy, capturing what later became the most prestigious individual honor in American sports in 1935. Berwanger was selected by Philadelphia Eagles with the first pick in the 1936 NFL Draft. The Eagles, however, couldn't sign him and traded his draft rights to the Chicago Bears. And when Berwanger didn't sign with the Bears, he went into private business and never played a snap in the NFL.
Jay Berwanger was the first of seven Heisman Trophy winners who never played in the NFL. One of those winners opted for a basketball career instead.

Most Recent Top-10 Finisher
This one is a tad challenging…
Of the 64 Power Five programs (including Notre Dame) with a top-10 finisher, Minnesota has the longest drought. Defensive lineman Bobby Bell — who led the Gophers to the 1960 national championship — finished third in 1962. Duke (1963) and Wake Forest (1964) are not far behind.
