NFL DRAFT HIGHLIGHTS: Da’Ron Payne, DT — Alabama

The 2018 NFL Draft is coming at us quickly now that we have witnessed yet another thrilling national championship. The yearly extravaganza will take place in Arlington, Texas, from Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28 this year.

Over the span of three days, a whole host of former college football stars will find new homes where they will hopefully impress during the offseason and make a living playing on Sundays.

COMPARE: DaRon Payne (2017) vs. Vita Vea (2017)

This video from M&M Productions features Alabama DT Da'Ron Payne. Payne is widely regarded as one of the top two defensive tackles in this draft because he has incredible speed and athletic ability for a 6-foot-2, 319-pound human.

In 2017, he had 47 tackles, two sacks, and a pass batted down, and it is his play in the running game that gave Alabama's opponents trouble all year long. Payne is not a one-dimensional tackle. As good as he s in the running game, he is also able to collapse the pocket from the inside and get after the quarterback.

Playing his best games of the season against the likes of Georgia and Clemson is another reason he will be taken so high in the draft.
