The 2018 NFL Draft is coming at us quickly now that we have witnessed yet another thrilling National Title Game. The yearly extravaganza will take place in Arlington, Texas, from Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28 this year.
Over the span of three days, a whole host of former college football stars will find new homes where they will hopefully impress during the offseason and make a living playing on Sundays.
COMPARE: Hercules Mata’afa (2017) vs. Aikeem Coleman (2017)
This video from WSUCougarAthletics focuses on the play of defensive end Hercules Mata’afa.Mata’afa found his role as a defensive tackle in the Cougars fast and light defensive front but at 6-foot-2 and 255 pounds he will be much better served as a defensive end (or possibly even outside linebacker) in the NFL.
What has attracted the scouts’ attention is Mata’afa’s ability to get to the quarterback after he recorded 43 tackles, 21.5 tackles for a loss, and 9.5 sacks last season. It would not be a shock to see Mata’afa drafted higher than his fourth-round grade if a team falls in love with his ability as a pass rushing specialist.
