The 2018 NFL Draft is coming at us quickly now that we have witnessed yet another thrilling national championship. The yearly extravaganza will take place in Arlington, Texas, from Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28 this year.
Over the span of three days, a whole host of former college football stars will find new homes where they will hopefully impress during the offseason and make a living playing on Sundays.
COMPARE: Ranthony Texada (2017) vs. Deatrick Nichols (2017)
This video from Feed Me Highlights features TCU CB Ranthony Texada. At 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, Texada would be considered undersized by the usual standard of NFL cornerbacks. In 2017 Texada totaled 33 tackles, 14 passes batted, one forced fumble, and one interception. Texada then went on to struggle in the Horned Frogs bowl game against Stanford and he will have to impress at his Pro Day as he was not invited to the NFL Combine.
While unlikely to ever be a starting corner due to his size, Texada does figure to have some value as a slot coverage guy and a special teams player.
