No. 10 Ed Oliver
Houston – DT
What else can be said about Ed Oliver?
The Houston native has more than lived up to the hype a five-star recruit who was the sixth-ranked prospect in the entire 2016 class. His 2017 overall Pro Football Focus grade of 92.6 is the highest among returning FBS interior defenders, as are his 39 run stops.
Oliver has 39.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in only 25 career games and his career 1.56 tackles for loss per game is highest among active FBS players. The 6-foot-3, 292-pounder is a two-time All-American, legitimate candidate for the 2018 Heisman Trophy and, unsurprisingly because he's the best player in college football, the best No. 10 in the country.
