There are very few NFL wide receivers who can take the top off defenses with breakaway speed.
We've seen guys like DeSean Jackson and Brandin Cooks thrive as speedy outside threats, but former Washington WR John Ross might become the best of them all.

The former Huskies burner set a new NFL combine record on Saturday for the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.22.

Ross's time was good enough to surpass the previous record of 4.24 set by Chris Johnson in 2008. Maybe it shouldn't be that much of a surprise the former Washington wideout was able make history. He closed out the 2016 season with 81 receptions for 1,150 yards and 17 touchdowns — and much of that success was due to his ability to smoke opposing cornerbacks.
Oh, and former NFL great Steve Smith saw it coming as well.
