After dropping three of their first four games to open the 2017 season, the Owls have won three straight, by an average of 29 points. They've posted 127 points their last two games, including 69 against North Texas thanks to 804 yards of total offense.
Less than a year after his bizarre departure from Alabama and apparent dose of reality that he couldn't get a better head coaching job than a low-level Conference USA one, Kiffin's coaching stock is once again on the rise. And his confidence has remained very high.
On Wednesday morning, he twice quoted Lamar Jackson tweets telling him to come home. Jackson is a former four-star recruit from Boynton Beach, Fla., just 15 minutes from Boca Raton.
