Louisiana Tech found itself in one of the weirdest college football situations imaginable — punting on 4th and goal…from their own 27-yard line. You read that correctly, the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs punted on 4th down and goal to go, 73 yards away from the endzone.

That was a play after they were set up with 3rd down and goal to go…93 yards away from the goal line.
None of this was a typo.
Seriously.
In one of the strangest plays you'll ever see, the Bulldogs lost 87 yards on a single play after a fumble was kicked multiple times by Mississippi State defenders trying to recover it and return it for a score. None of the players could gain control of the ball, and in comical fashion continued to kick the ball down the field until a Louisiana Tech player finally pounced on the ball.

The box score looks just as ridiculous.
Louisiana Tech was set up with first and goal to go from Mississippi State's 6-yard line. After a run for no gain, La. Tech fumbled and lost 86 yards, setting up 3rd and goal from their own 7-yard line. After a 21-yard run on 3rd and 93 (seriously, what?), Louisiana Tech punted on fourth and goal from their own 28.
You seriously can't make this stuff up.
