As you can see from the video above, the recent announcement of Tom Brady gracing the cover of Madden 2018 will not be met – in the esteemed QB's words – with the famous Madden curse.
Brady's says everything will be cool. Nothing to worry about. It's all good.

Sure, Tom. Trying asking the following athletes what the coveted Madden cover did for their careers.
Don't listen to Tom everyone. Check out the five most devastating Madden cover curses and decided for yourself if the Patriot's signal caller is safe from harm this upcoming season.

5. Daunte Culpepper, 2002
Like most of the athlete's that have suffered the Madden curse, Culpepper's 2002 season was haunted by injuries. Playing in just 11 games after blowing out his knee, the Vikings' QB finished with 14 touchdowns against an almost equal 13 interceptions.

4. Vince Young, 2008
After an incredible rookie campaign, the Madden curse struck Young with a vengeance. The QB threw 17 interceptions against just 9 touchdowns.

3. Rob Gronkowski, 2017
Fantasy owners across the world could be heard groaning on two occasions as Gronk missed the first two weeks of the NFL season with a hamstring injury before a hurt back ended his 2017 campaign for good. The NFL's most deadliest tight end finished with only 540 yards receiving and 3 TDs.

2. Michael Vick, 2004
Vick's 2003 Madden character is right up there with Tecmo Bowl's Bo Jackson as one of the greatest video game athletes of all time.
Placing Vick on the cover of the 2004 edition was totally expected, but what wasn't was the QB fracturing a fibula in the preseason and missing all of just 5 games that season. Vick would end the year with only 585 yards passing, 4 TDs, and 3 INTs.

1. Peyton Hillis, 2012
Chalk this one up to the old saying, "It seemed like a good idea at the time."
The fan-favorite running back was voted onto the 2012 cover and he "rewarded" them with a 587-yard season and just 3 touchdowns.
At least Hillis can lay claim to one of the better Madden artwork covers we've seen.
