The 130 active FBS head coaches hail from 120 different cities. Only one city claims three coaches: Madison, Wisc.
Last year, Madison was tied with Dallas for the most head coaches, but following the dismissal of Rice head coach and Dallas native David Bailiff, Madison now sits alone with three coaches: Wisconsin's Paul Chryst, Nevada's Jay Norvell and Northern Illinois' Rod Carey.
"It's really special . . . I grew up in Madison here and was a part — as early as I can remember — Badger Football was a part of our life," Chryst said at his introductory press conference in December 2014.
Eight other cities have at least two head coaches, including Dallas, Miami and two Ohio cities: Youngstown and Toledo.
