One hundred and fifty years after the University of Michigan adopted maize and blue as their official school colors, their football program will don all-maize uniforms for the first time ever.
The Wolverines face Florida on Saturday, Sept. 2, at AT&T Stadium in the regular-season opener for both teams. The programs have three all-time meetings (most recently the 2016 Citrus Bowl) but none in the regular season.
And it will be an extremely colorful affair. Nike released images of the uniforms for both programs — though the Gators have worn Nike all-blue uniforms before. In addition to Michigan's Jordan all-maize uniforms, Nike is also releasing new Jordan Brand shoes, a Michigan edition of the Jordan Trainer 2.
