Firing Mark Dantonio is "not even a discussion," Michigan State athletics director Bill Beekman said last week. That was before another loss at a sparsely populated Spartan Stadium in Week 11. If Beekman backtracks and fires Dantonio after this season, who might he hire?
From 2010-15 Dantonio won 65 games, had five seasons with at least 11 wins, won three Big Ten titles, and led the Spartans to the 2015 College Football Playoff. Since then, even with a 10-win season in 2017, Michigan State is just 24-23 and has been blown out several times.
