LSU can almost field an entire 53-man roster on its own, with 50 former Tigers on initial 53-man rosters. They have two more players on 53-man rosters than fellow SEC team Alabama and seven more than Florida.
Behind Alabama’s 48 players and Florida’s 43, Miami, Ohio State and USC each have 40 alumni in the NFL on 53-man rosters. Florida State, Clemson, Auburn, Georgia and UCLA round out the teams with at least 30 alumni on NFL 53-man rosters.
