The Los Angeles Rams' Todd Gurley came up just 22 yards shy of leading the NFL in rushing yards last season with 1,305 yards. Assuming 2017 rushing leader and then-rookie Kareem Hunt doesn't lead the league in back-to-back seasons, surely Mr. Gurley is the favorite to snag 2018's most yards on the ground, right?

As Lee Corso is fond of saying, "Not so fast, my friend!"
Despite slicing through defenses last season, Gurley is second in the eyes of oddsmakers when it comes to 2018's most rushing yards odds. 2016 rushing champ Ezekiel Elliott is your preseason favorite opening at 2.5-1 with Gurley close behind at 3.5-1.
To be fair, Elliott had a stellar 2017 in accumulating 983 yards on the ground despite appearing in just 10 games (no need to rehash again why that was). The Dallas Cowboys star averaged 4.6-yards-per carry and found the end zone six times despite missing six games.
As far as the rest of the running backs in the league, take a gander down below for who is looking up at Elliott and Gurley.
