The college football season begins this weekend. In truth, it begins tonight, with a whole bunch of Thursday night games to kick off the season. We then run with games all the way through until the evening of Labor Day, meaning that it is a five-day college football feast.
This is not a boring Week 1 either. There are matchups in there – the most obvious being Alabama vs Florida State in Atlanta – that will have direct implications on the College Football Playoff at the end of the season. Other games like Michigan vs Florida and BYU vs LSU are intriguing clashes that will be well worth a watch.
