The Florida vs Michigan matchup in the JerryDome is as exciting as we could have hoped for. The noise in the building went through the roof on this second quarter play when Gators' defensive back Duke Dawson plucked a tipped Wilton Speight pass out of the air and returned it for a touchdown. The play features a nasty juke move by Dawson on an offensive lineman at around the 20-yard line on his way to the end zone.
Florida followed this with another pick six on Michigan's next drive and at that point, the Gators had 17 points scored and one offensive play longer than four yards. Defense wins championships indeed.
