Bob Stoops retired from his job as the Oklahoma head football coach on Wednesday with immediate effect. Stoops took control of a Sooners team that had gone a combined 61-50-3 during the combined reigns of his three immediate predecessors and turned the team into a national powerhouse that went 190-48 under his stewardship.
Some will tell you that the Stoops teams peaked early in his coaching career and that he never again reached those highs. Any coach with a resume that boasts a national title and 10 league titles though has to go down as one of the greatest of his era.
Here is a video that showcases the best moments of Stoops run at OU.
