The college football season opened on Saturday with a quintet of FBS clashes being played in the Week 0 slot. A couple of these games featured teams ranked inside the preseason top 25, including the matchup that saw South Florida take on San Jose State.
The Bulls are seen as the team to beat in the American Athletic Conference in 2017 as Charlie Strong has inherited a squad loaded with playmakers. This was obvious in their opening day bout as the Bulls racked up 42 points in comfortable fashion on the Spartans, but Strong will be a little worried that his defense gave up 22 points to an inferior opponent.
