Wisconsin kicked off its 2017 college football season with a 59-10 dismantling of Utah State on Friday night. The Badgers looked better in victory than some of the other top 25 teams playing early this weekend — Ohio State and Washington — but it was still a slow grind of a game until Wisconsin picked up its level of play.

Wisconsin also has an early contender for play of the weekend as senior safety Joe Ferguson set a new interception return record in the victory. Ferguson picked off a ball on the edge of his own end zone, returning the ball for a 99-yard touchdown.
