The offseason is always an interesting time to remind ourselves of the new crop of head coaches that will be roaming the sidelines this upcoming fall. This year, the 20 college football new coaches barking out orders range from FBS veterans to former NFL head honchos getting their first crack at the college level.

Career Coaching Record: 0-0
Last Coaching Gig: Kansas City Chiefs
Interesting Tidbit: His first, last, and only college football coaching experience came between 1987-89 when he was the DB coach at San Jose State.

Arizona Wildcats — Kevin Sumlin

Career Coaching Record: 86-43
Last Coaching Gig: Texas A&M
Interesting Tidbit: Sumlin is a two-time Conference USA Coach of the Year (2009, 2011) and the 2012 SEC Coach of the Year.

Interesting Tidbit: Morris accumulated a 169-38 record at the high school level from 1994 to 2009.

Interesting Tidbit: The SEC Coach of the Year in 2014 had a stellar 5-2 record in bowl games with the Bulldogs from 2009-17.

Interesting Tidbit: Taggart spent just one season with the Ducks but managed to parlay a 7-5 record into the head coaching job at FSU.

Interesting Tidbit: Lunsford was named the official head coach after going 2-4 last season following the firing of Tyson Summers.

Interesting Tidbit: Lewis gets his first shot at being an FBS head coach after a pair of seasons leading the offense for the Orange.

Interesting Tidbit: Napier was the offensive coordinator and QB coach with the Sun Devils last season and once quarterbacked Furman to the D2 national championship game during his junior season.

Interesting Tidbit: Moorhead tallied 38 wins and three FCS playoff appearances at Fordham from 2012-15.

Interesting Tidbit: Cristobal led Florida International to its first ever conference title and bowl victory during the 2010 season.

Interesting Tidbit: Smith was a four-year starting QB for the Beavers from 1998-01 under head coach Dennis Erickson and led the them to an 11-1 record in 2000, including a Fiesta Bowl victory.

Interesting Tidbit: Bloomgren saw up close and personal how much work is needed with the Owls when his Stanford program walloped them 62-7 in last year's week 0 opener.

Interesting Tidbit: This is Dykes' third FBS head coaching gig after stints with Louisiana Tech and California.

Interesting Tidbit: After accumulating 59 wins at the D2 and FCS levels with Delta State and Central Arkansas, Campbell gets his first crack at the FBS.
