Ohio State set a record with 10 players selected in the first three rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft. They also set the record with 12 selections in the first four rounds. While both numbers are staggering, their win-to-draftee ratio is even more remarkable.
Of the 80 FBS teams who had at least one player drafted, only four had more draftees than wins from the previous season. The Buckeyes were the only team in that group with more than four wins. Their 1.091 draftees per win (12 draftees, 11 wins) ranked fourth and their 11 wins were as many as the top three teams combined (UCLA, 4; Notre Dame, 4; Michigan State, 3). And they are the only team inside the top 14 with more than nine wins.
