The 2017 Gildan New Mexico Bowl should be an exciting affair considering the Colorado State Rams finished the regular season ranked #10 in the country at 501-yards-per game. On the other side of the ball, the Marshall Thundering Herd held opposing offenses to just 19.3-points-per game – good for #17 in the FBS.
As the cliché goes, something's got to give.
Aside from what should be an entertaining matchup this weekend, a whole slew of players are looking to impress a national audience and scouts to up their draft stock as much as possible.

The biggest draft prospect in the New Mexico Bowl by far is Rams' standout wide receiver Michael Gallup.
After terrorizing defenses in 2016 for 1,272 receiving yards and 14 touchdown receptions, he's racked up another 1,345 yards through the air and 7 TDs as an encore performance. He's ranked in the top six nationally in receptions, yards receiving, and yards per game (112.1).
Gallup could go as high as the third round in next year's draft.

On the other side of the ball, junior quarterback Chase Litton has been steady behind center for the Herd in throwing for nearly 3,000 yards and 23 touchdowns.
In fact, Litton has been Mr. Consistency since joining the program and could see his draft stock soar higher behind a solid senior season in 2018. Don't be surprised to see Litton taken late in the 2019 draft or to get some run as a free agent two years from now in the NFL.
