Full List of NFL Combine’s D2 Football Invites

Full List of NFL Combine’s D2 Football Invites

The NFL Combine is just a few weeks away, and today the NFL revealed the full list of participants, with 330 in total ready to undergo the biggest job interview of their life in Indianapolis.

RELATED: Full List of Combine Invites

Of these 330 invitees, seven of them come from Division 2 programs, which is just 2.1 percent of the total group. But even though the numbers may be small, there is no deficiency in talent amongst these sensational seven. All of these players have a shot to picked up at some point in the draft process —  a shot that just got better with a combine invite.

Take a look at the list below, as well as a small blurb on what to expect from each player at this year's event. Make sure you remember these names folks, they could well end up on your favorite team and make a big difference in a game one day. Just see what former Ashland alum Jamie Meder did for Cleveland in their one win.

Player Position School Workout Day
Billy Brown Wide Receiver Shepherd March 4 (Saturday)
Ethan Cooper Offensive Line Indiana (PA) March 3 (Friday)
Dylan Donahue Defensive Line West Georgia March 5 (Saturday)
Connor Harris Linebacker Lindenwood March 5 (Saturday)
Jordan Morgan Offensive Line Kutztown March 3 (Friday)
Adam Shaheen Tight End Ashland March 4 (Saturday)
Nate Theaker Offensive Line Wayne State (MI) March 3 (Friday)

Billy Brown, WR | Shepherd

A big body that can catch the ball at the high point, Brown has even been looked at as a tight end by some outlets. With his pedigree of great hands (99 receptions in 2016) and ability to score, some team will take a late-round flyer on the Mountain East's all-time best receiver.

Ethan Cooper, OL | Indiana (PA)

IUP was one of the best rushing offenses over the last two seasons, and Cooper was right up the middle on most of those big runs the Crimson Hawks had every game. Not often talked about, Cooper has a chance to show why he should be taken on draft day in Indy.

Dylan Donahue, DL | West Georgia

A player I think should have been invited to the Senior Bowl, Donahue is a good pass-rusher that can contribute early in his career on passing downs. The Montana native has the look of a hulking D-linemen, and some team will fall in love.

Connor Harris, LB | Lindenwood

The all-time leader in tackles in NCAA history, Harris will get to the NFL based on that fact alone. His ability to tackle, run down the ball, and play in space are all qualities teams not only look for in linebackers, but desperately need to help their units going into 2017.

Jordan Morgan, OL | Kutztown

A Senior Bowl holdover — like Harris — Morgan was arguably the best D2 player at the event in Mobile just last month. At this point, the Kutztown product is no longer wondering if he will get drafted, but when he will get taken.

Adam Shaheen, TE | Ashland

The first D2 product to declare early for the draft in quite some time, Shaheen provides a receiver-type tight end that teams will try to find a way to employ and open up the deep pass down the middle.

Nate Theaker, OL | Wayne State (MI)

Theaker had yet to find his way into my radar for draft prospects because of his lack of invites to big events, but clearly there is some interest for him at the pro level. The lead blocker for one of the best running backs in the nation Romello Brown, Theaker should draw some interest as a guard prospect at the next level.
