It's that time, and the FCS Nation is wondering if this is the year nearly 25 FCS prospects get drafted, one year removed from 15 being taken during the 7-round draft. There may not be a ton of drama for FCS faithful when it comes to Day One — the first round.
But by Saturday the tension will be high as thousands of hopefuls are hoping for one of those 250-plus spots to be announced. While things don't end with the NFL Draft — as many priority free agents have gone on to fine NFL careers — there's a hope by every youth football player in the America to one day be drafted.
Check back with HERO Sports all through the weekend to see who got drafted where, and which players were signed as free agents almost immediately afterwards. Last year, more than 120 FCS products got a shot at the NFL. We'll see how many get that shot this time around.
