THE SKINNY
All but Kevin Sargent above were taken in the first seven rounds of the NFL Draft and went on to have nice careers–the top three of which went 10 years plus — quite the feat in professional football. Ed Simmons received two Super Bowl rings with the Washington Redskins and was named as one of the 70 Greatest Redskins of all-time. Michael Roos started every game he played in for a decade for the Tennessee Titans. Born in Estonia, he was a second-round draft pick in 2005 and played until announcing his retirement last year. The injury bug may have hit Kurt Schulz during his college career, but it didn't keep him from being a solid pro, starting for six seasons for the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills — who originally drafted him.
