There are many reasons Nike stands above the rest. Their N7 program is one of them.
N7 is the billion-dollar apparel empire's "long-time commitment and mission to inspire and enable two million Native American and Aboriginal youth in North America to participate in sport and physical activity." And N7's objective for the beginning of the college basketball season is to honor Native American Heritage Month, a month-long celebration of Native American culture, beliefs and traditions.
Nike partnered with seven schools to create special turquoise jerseys for their men's and women's basketball programs. Turquoise "represents harmony, friendship and fellowship in Native American culture" and will be worn by each of the nine schools during at least one game in November and December.
