Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones has had an eventful weekend. On Saturday, as the Buckeyes struggled to show any signs of life against Clemson in the College Football Playoff Semifinal, Jones took to twitter with displeasure. The very next day he saw his first NFL action in the season finale for the Buffalo Bills.
Jones' twitter rant started fairly tame, but picked up steam each time the Buckeyes offense was stifled.
Ok, if we don't get points on this drive, I'm turning this off

That was classic. We knew Jones wasn't playing around when he pulled out the Madden 17 reference. This was clearly hilarious, but it's interesting from a football perspective as well. Ohio State offensive coordinator Ed Warinner held the same position during Jones' senior season in 2016. He had served as co-offensive coordinator the previous three seasons.
Does this one miserable outing fall on Warinner? Probably so. Ohio State still closed out the year with the best offense in the Big Ten, averaging 459.2 yards per game. On a national scale, the Buckeyes ranked No. 32 in total offense — a stat they may be a bit more telling. Most Ohio State fans believe they should always be near the top of every offensive category, year in and year out.
Warinner had a limited talent pool. It was obvious. But to be embarrassed in that fashion, on that stage, with your former QB ripping you for the nation to see? Well, that could be enough for the Ohio State decision makers to make a change.
