The saying goes that age ain't nothin' but a number, and based upon the playoff successes of a season ago, these older NFL teams would probably agree.

Unlike this year's youngest teams where only 2 out of the top 13 made the playoffs last season, 6 out of the top 7 oldest squads entering 2018 made the postseason a year ago.
Some of the veteran franchises near the top should come as no surprise as both the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons feature a depth of experience on both sides of the ball — especially at the quarterback position in Tom Brady and Matt Ryan who will be 41 and 33 respectively when the season kicks off.
Sometimes a veteran ball club doesn't equal victories, however, as was the case with the Cardinals. Although the team got older this year with the return of future Hall of Fame receiver Larry Fitzgerald (34 years old), it did get a bit younger with the drafting of UCLA standout QB Josh Rosen (21 years old).
