Despite combining for just 12 points in the first half, 22 through three quarters and 40 for the game, Penn State and Iowa's Week 4 game in Iowa City scored big for ABC, recording the highest ratings for the week.
ABC’s Saturday Night Football earned a 3.1 overnight rating, comfortably beating Notre Dame's blowout of Michigan State by 32 percent, according to an ESPN release. The Nittany Lions' last-second win also had 62,000 streaming viewers, way up from last year's Saturday Night Football matchup of Stanford and UCLA in the same time slot.
