It was love at first sight for Pete Carroll and D.K. Metcalf. Or love at first bare chest.
Metcalf, two months after his shirtless photo went viral and he ran a 4.33-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, was selceted with the 64th pick, the final pick of the second round, in the 2019 NFL Draft. Following the selection, Carroll and Seahawks' general manager John Schneider discussed Metcalf, including a story of their shirtless meeting with the former Ole Miss receiver.
"Well, I was surprised when he came into our interview with his shirt off," Carroll said. "It kind of pissed me off, so I took my shirt off, too."
