Which College Football Playoff Team Has Most In-State Players?

Which College Football Playoff Team Has Most In-State Players?

Nine Clemson linebackers are in-state players, hailing from the state of South Carolina. Notre Dame has seven in-state players. Total.

Notre Dame has the fewest in-state players of the four teams in the 2018 College Football Playoff. The Irish's seven Indiana players are a fraction of Oklahoma's 29 in-state players, Alabama's 39 and Clemson's 50. Four other states have more players on Notre Dame's roster than Indiana: Illinois (16), Florida (11), Georgia (11) and Ohio (eight).

Alabama and South Carolina are the most popular home states for Alabama and Clemson players, respectively, while Oklahoma is second-most popular for Oklahoma players (Texas, 41).
