Through Week 3 of the 2018 college football season, 75 FBS teams have been officially eliminated from contention for the College Football Playoff.
Of those 75 teams, 14 are in the Power Five, 10 of whom were eliminated in Week 3, including the first Big 12 team (Iowa State), and four Big Ten teams. With losses, both Boise State and Hawai'i are out of contention, which also knocked the entire Mountain West out. Only four Group of Five teams are still in contention entering Week 4.
