Through Week 2, 60 FBS teams have been officially eliminated from contention for the College Football Playoff.
Of those 60 teams, only four are in the Power Five: Arizona, North Carolina, UCLA and Ole Miss — the Rebels were eliminated from playoff contention when the NCAA levied a postseason ban in December. While I believe a two-loss team will eventually make the playoff, North Carolina won't do so with a loss to East Carolina, nor will Arizona or UCLA in this year's Pac-12.
