Eleven teams are still alive for the College Football Playoff. That group will shrink in Week 10.
Entering Week 10, the SEC leads all conferences with four contenders, followed by the Big 12 and Big Ten (two apiece), and ACC and Pac-12 (one), along with Notre Dame.
Which teams will be eliminated from playoff contention?

Kentucky
If Kentucky can't throw the ball against Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, how in the world will they do it against a Georgia defense allowing 9.6 yards per completion and the 13th-best passer rating in the country?
While the Wildcats could survive running it 40 times again, especially against a Bulldogs' unit that hasn't been as stout against the run lately, they'll run out of gas late.
Georgia 20, Kentucky 13.
Kentucky is out.

LSU
Devin White, Greedy Williams and this loaded LSU defense give the Tigers a chance vs. anyone. Joe Burrow and an LSU offense averaging barely five yards per play and converting less than 38 percent of third-down attempts aren't enough vs. Alabama.
Alabama 31, LSU 13
A two-loss non-divisional champ is done.

West Virginia
West Virginia's trip to Iowa State three weeks ago — and unimpressive showings vs. Texas Tech and Kansas — give zero confidence the Mountaineers can win at Texas, even if the Longhorns showed vulnerabilities in Week 9.
Texas 34, West Virginia 31
While a loss wouldn't technically eliminate West Virginia from the Big 12 race, they are eliminated from the playoff race.
