Six more FBS teams were eliminated from College Football Playoff contention in Week 5, including South Carolina and Utah.
With losses to Kentucky and Washington State, respectively, the Gamecocks and Utes, joined 96 teams who are officially eliminated from playoff contention entering Week 6. Of the 34 teams still alive, none are from the Group of Five and the Big Ten and SEC are tied for most teams with eight apiece.
