Texas is Well Represented on Playoff Rosters

Texas is Well Represented on Playoff Rosters

Kyler Murray is one of 41 Texans on the Oklahoma roster. The other three playoff teams — Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame — have 17 Texans on their rosters, making the Lone Star State the most-represented home state in the 2018 College Football Playoff.

Texas is the most-represented state on Oklahoma's roster and the second-most represented state on Alabama's roster. The Sooners and Crimson Tide account for 53 of the 58 players among all four teams. Notre Dame contributes four while Clemson has one Texan.

South Carolina (56) is the only other state with at least 50 players, and Alabama ranks third (45), followed by Florida (47), Georgia (35) and Oklahoma (30). Thirty-four states are represented, as is Washington, D.C., and two Canadian territories (British Columbia and Ontario).
