The top three position groups drafted, in fact, were on the defensive side of the ball, with defensive linemen (43 total) and linebackers (38) the next highest drafted positions. Offensive line (also 38) were the most-drafted offensive position:

The offensive-defensive split is pretty even, with defensive players accounting for 50.4 percent of the players chosen, while offensive players accounted for 46.9 percent of the draft picks and seven specialists were picked.
