Adam Shaheen has not taken a typical route to be on the verge of the NFL. He is a former basketball player who transferred from a basketball scholarship to DII Ashland to take up football. As a two-sport high school athlete the transition was swift and the 6-foot-6, 278 pounded set a DII record for catches by a tight end in a single season with 70.
Don't be shocked to see Shaheen go off of the board earlier than expected as someone takes a flyer on the next Rob Gronkowski mismatch style player.
