The 2017 NFL Draft is coming at us quickly. The yearly extravaganza will take place in Philadelphia from Thursday, April 27 to Saturday, April 29 this year. Over the span of three days, a whole host of former college football stars will be finding a new home where they will hopefully impress during the offseason and be able to make a living by playing on Sundays.
Between now and the end of April we will be featuring some of the stars of tomorrow. Many of these are names from big time college football programs you will recognize, while some will be new to all but the most dedicated followers of the sport.
Today we look at Corey Davis from Western Michigan, a player who is one of the top three wide receiver options in the draft.

Davis was the 2016 Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year and it is easy from this video to see why. Even though he was only a two-star recruit when he joined the Broncos program, he blossomed into a matchup nightmare at the receiver position with his blend of speed, quickness, and ability to make tough catches look simple. As a senior he had 97 catches, 1,500 yards, and 19 touchdowns, ranking in the top 10 of the entire FBS in all those categories.
Davis was a touchdown machine in college and there is no reason that his skill set shouldn't see that convert to the professional game. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and is a stat compiler that already has the route running ability and ball skills to contribute for a high-end NFL team. Add to that his red zone production and the competitive edge that you just have to have in order to succeed at the next level and Davis is going to be a very nice pickup in the latter half of the first round.
